Canton Softball Senior League is a recreational fast pitch softball league designed to teach girls in 6th, 7th, & 8th grades the fundamentals of competitive softball. The Senior League gives players opportunities to play using the official ASA rules and regulations of softball with the introduction of bunting, stealing, and pitching from a 40’ pitching rubber. Teams are composed of up to 12 girls and players are competing in a 9 v 9 fielder’s format. All games are officiated by qualified ASA umpires. Senior League teams play a 15 game schedule with all teams participating in League Playoffs at the conclusion of the regular season. The season begins approximately April 1st (weather permitting) and the playoffs conclude in mid-June. Players’ time commitment for the Senior League is significant with a minimum of two games and one/two practices per week.
